Youth

Who We Are

Maplewood Youth Group is a place where teens come to belong! Friendship building is important while at the same time seeking to become students of the Word of God and to develop a heart for the lost. Youth group is open to ANY student in 7th-12th grades. Students do not have to be Christians to participate with us. This is a place where students are welcome to learn more about the Lord.

What We Do

We seek to know Jesus more intimately through regular meetings offered two times per week. We offer time for fellowship, prayer, small groups, worship, and Bible study. We also do various special activities throughout the year including Ponca Bible Camp, Missions Trips, Teen Retreats, Super Bowl Party, and other special events! Keep updated through the calendar.

When We Meet

Wednesday Evenings: 4:30-5:30 pm

This is our high school small group time. This is for 10-12th grade students. We will meet at various locations in Sedalia. In the Fall of 2019 we will use a study called “Milestones” by Lifeway.

Wednesday Nights: 6:30-7:45 pm

Youth group begins at 6:30. This evening is geared for 7-9th grade students. This is our small group meeting time. We will meet at the church, unless stated otherwise. These nights will have an element of fun, a Bible focus time, and discussions together led by caring adults.

Sunday Nights: 5:30-7 pm

This will be our weekly main group meeting for all 7-12 grade students. We start the evening with fun activities together! After a short activity, there may be a time of music, followed by Bible teaching, discussion on the lesson, and a time from prayer. During the school year of 2019-2020 we will be in a study called “Journey to Freedom” which speaks to tough issues youth face today!
